Sophie is an experienced podiatrist who graduated from Curtin University in 1997. Growing up in Perth, Sophie danced with a Perth Ballet School for 11 years and this is largely where her love of Podiatry began. Since graduating Sophie moved to Melbourne and worked within the hospital sector embracing her ethos of public health, particularly with high risk and diabetic communities. However for the last 10 years Sophie has developed a keen interest in sports and family podiatry and treats many of Perth’s Athletes including several players of the West Coast Eagles and WAFL clubs.
Sophie has always sought a work place that supports her core belief in ‘holistic’ care – meaning the ‘whole individual – not just the feet’ and has found this working for Stirling Health Professionals. Sophie works closely with many of her allied professional group which compliment her skills in dry needling, joint mobilization, kinesiology taping, minor surgeries and functional biomechanical analysis including orthoses prescription and exercise rehabilitation. Sophie is a keen runner and passionate foodie (hence the running), and is a devoted mother to her sons.
