Remedial Massage

One of the key benefits of remedial massage therapy is experiencing a deep state of relaxation.  Massage has the ability to relax skeletal muscles, increase blood and lymph circulation and reduce stress and anxiety. This is important as breaking the cycle of stress is a key factor in improving our overall wellbeing. Research into the effects of massage on stress is ongoing.

Other benefits:

  • regular massage can also positively affect your body’s immune response

  • many studies have documented the physiological effects of massage

  • the positive effects on biochemistry show decreased levels in cortisol (produced more when we are stressed or in pain) and increased level of serotonin and dopamine.

Our clients who receive regular massage often respond with lowered respiratory rate, lowered blood pressure readings, lowered pain, and an increase in range of movement with a marked increase in wellbeing.
